Jason asked the Health Secretary Matt Hancock about the importance of good local data in helping Kirklees Council to continue their good work in tackling Covid cases in our community.
Jason had a Zoom meeting with the Netherton Community Action Group this evening and he spoke in Parliament yesterday about the importance of local people having their say on major planning applications that will impact on their communities.
Having raised it in Parliament this week, Jason is pleased that free school meals will now be available to 16-18 year olds in colleges over the summer.
Jason is pleased that indoor gyms, indoor swimming pools & leisure centres can reopen safely from Saturday 25 July - he raised it with the Secretary of State this morning.
Jason welcomed the huge £1.57 billion emergency package for the Arts - we need to make sure the cash helps support the musicians, actors, electricians and may more, including freelancers, who are the lifeblood of our local arts and cultural sector.
In Prime Ministers Questions, Jason stood up for the Performing Arts.
