🎥 Welcoming the inquiry into the Post Office/Horizon scandal

Tuesday, 6 October, 2020

Jason welcomes the inquiry into the Post Office/Horizon scandal. The victims, including local post masters/mistresses, must be able to give evidence to the inquiry.

Jason McCartney MP

I, too, put on record my thanks to our community post offices; they have provided a vital lifeline during this pandemic in my villages and towns in Colne Valley.

In terms of the inquiry, can the Minister assure me that my constituent, Maria, who is one of the victims of this scandal, and all the other victims will be able to give evidence so that they will be heard, and that we will get some conclusion to this inquiry within the next year?

Paul Scully MP

It is up to Sir Wyn Williams how he wants to frame that inquiry, but it is absolutely set up for sub-postmasters to have their voices heard and to report back within about a year.
